Ruisa released a press release on the 23rd that it had signed a reconstruction assistance contract with Wolfspeed on the same day, and it is estimated that it may be recognized as a loss of about 250 billion yen in the first half of this year (January-June 2025). Ruiz pointed out that Wolfspeed estimates that it will apply to the US Crackdown Law in the near future.
Ruisa said that the above-mentioned amount of money lost is based on the information found at the current stage, and the amount of money lost may increase or decrease due to various factors in the future.
Ruisa pointed out that the company had a SiC crystal supply contract with Wolfspeed in July 2023, and at that time Ruisa provided a $2 billion deposit to Wolfspeed, and then signed an amendment contract with Wolfspeed in October 2024 to change the deposit to $2.062 billion.
Ruisa said that after signing the reconstruction assistance contract, Ruisa agreed to convert the above $2.062 billion in deposit into Wolfspeed's convertible company debt, common shares and new shares.
