Technical coach Diogo Paiva announces leaving the team: Liverpool will always occupy a special position in their hearts
Liverpool technical coach Diogo Paiva said after confirming his departure last Friday that the club will "always occupy a special place in his heart."
Diogo Paiva has served as technical coach under Slott for the past year. He posted on his social media and announced his departure.
Diogo Paiva joined Liverpool from Porto last summer, after he served as the U19 echelon coach in Porto. It is reported that he mainly focuses on training in the AXA training center for players' personal skills, such as one-on-one confrontation.
In a farewell speech posted last Friday night, Diogo Paiva thanked Liverpool for approving his resignation, writing: "Dear Liverpool family, this club is more than just a workplace. It has always been a home, a big family."
"Liverpool has given me so much that I felt the embrace of warmth and support throughout my tenure. It is a great club that will always occupy a special place in my heart."
"I want to thank the management for understanding why I left the club earlier than expected and for dismissing my partnership. "
" As I go home to reunite with my family and wait for a new project, I review the extraordinary journey I have experienced here. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a member of this grand club and let me experience firsthand the true meaning of being a Premier League champion."
"It is my honor to work with all of you! You Never Walk Alone (YNWA)."
Diogo Paiva became the second member of the coaching team to leave Slot this summer, after John Heatinga had served in Ajax, and Van Bronkhorst will replace Heatinga to join the coaching team.
Earlier this week, Liverpool confirmed that former Welsh coach Rob Page will take over the club's U21 echelon, after Barry Lutas stepped down after twelve years at Liverpool.
