Guardiola: I miss Klopp very much, we always respected each other and he inspired me a lot

This weekend’s highlight of the Premier League, Manchester City will face Liverpool at home. Guardiola attended the press conference before the game. At the press conference, he was asked about Manchester City and Liverpool, and also talked about Liverpool's former coach Klopp.

Guardiola: "Perhaps in the past 10 years we have helped Manchester City shape this old enemy complex. Before that, I think it was the contest between Manchester United and Liverpool, and the London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea.

"Historically speaking, our opponent here should be Manchester United, but in Klopp's era and our era, the competition between the two teams is of course the most intense, probably because except for the first season when I came, the Premier League championship was always between us and them.

"I always say that I enjoy the healthy competition between clubs, everyone wants to win, and I always feel that we all respect each other.

"I don't know about it at the club level, but from Jurgen and Pep's perspective, I feel that we all respect each other very much. I think Klopp gave me a lot and I miss him a lot. He inspired me a lot about how much I would want to beat that guy and how much thought, effort and action I had to put in to achieve my goals and do better. This belongs to Liverpool and to us. ”
