Official: Brighton announces one-year contract extension with 39-year-old Milner

Brighton officially announced that 39-year-old Milner has agreed to renew his contract with the club for one year.

Since joining Brighton in 2023, Milner has played 24 games for the team. Last season, he was injured in a match against Arsenal in August and made only 4 appearances. He made a comeback in the final match of the season.

Milner's career began at Leeds United in 2001, completing a total of 638 Premier League appearances, and played for Manchester City, Aston Villa and Liverpool. In Premier League history, Gareth Barry has only played more than Milner 653 times.

■ About Milner's contract extension

coach Fabian said: "I am very happy that Milner will continue to stay in the team in the new season. Although he failed to contribute as he wished due to injury last season, his locker room experience, especially for young players, is of great value. He is an indispensable pillar of the team and will always be a solid backing for me and the team. I look forward to working with him again."
