Liverpool player Diogo Jota died in a car accident today, and UEFA then announced that he would pay silence for Jota before the Women's European Cup.

UEFA wrote: "Before all the 2025 Women's Euro 2025 European Cup matches today and tomorrow, a silence ceremony will be held for the unfortunately deceased Portugal international, Liverpool striker Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva."
