Post: Tottenham apologizes to fans for mistakenly blocking the account that responds to Israeli player Solomon s wedding post

According to the Post, Tottenham Hotspur apologized to fans for banning some accounts that responded to Israeli player Solomon's wedding posts.

Previously, Tottenham shared updates and photos of several players' lives on social media, but some of the replies showed insulting remarks against Solomon, and some comments mentioned the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Solomon married Dana Vohina in his native Israel on Thursday, but is currently trapped there as Israel shuts down civilian airspace due to threats from Iranian air attacks. Tottenham's social media staff manually banned some of their reply accounts, but then lifted the ban. "We noticed that the club's social media team has manually banned some accounts that publish content on the current conflict in the Middle East on X platform. After internal review, we recognize that these posts do not meet the standards of malicious communications defined in our policy and acknowledged that they have made misjudgments in these circumstances."

"We have unblocked these accounts and are reviewing our internal procedures. The club sincerely apologizes to those affected, and we continue to support peace and inclusion and firmly oppose all forms of abuse and discrimination."

25-year-old Solomon was loaned to Leeds United last season, and he helped the team win the Championship and scored 10 goals. Tottenham shared his photos on social media as part of multiple updates to the player’s life. Over the past few days, Madison and his girlfriend Kennedy Alexa are about to welcome their second twins, Richarlison and his partner Amanda Alaucho welcome their children, and Kulusevsky is also married to Swedish female soccer player Eltina Emic.

According to the Times, Tottenham has a system that automatically bans those directly insulting players' accounts. However, these specific posts did not meet the club's standard of "malicious communication" but were still banned. The

Club's statement continued: "Spurs are proud of the rich diversity in all communities and global fan groups, and that any form of abuse and discrimination has no place in our clubs, games and in the broader society."

"Under our published sanctions and ban policies, the club reserves the right to take action against individuals who use discriminatory, threatening or abusive language, whether on the court or online. This may include reporting, deleting or hiding comments, and in some cases, banning illegal accounts – a process that is automated through online tools deployed by the club, in addition to Platform X."
